Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology program at ßËÂþÂþ» educates students for various careers in the public and private sectors. The curriculum emphasizes practical and hands-on skills, and less theory, than engineering programs. Electrical/Electronics engineering technologists are capable of analyzing, designing, applying, deploying, and maintaining solutions in diverse practical fields such as  systems plants, automotive, aviation, computers, and communications.

Program Educational Objectives

  • Produce graduates for successful careers and continuing education in engineering technology.
  • Prepare graduates to be problem solvers and critical thinkers in industrial settings.
  • Produce graduates who communicate effectively and work well in teams.
  • Produce graduates who act ethically, and professionally.

Program Learning Outcomes

ßËÂþÂþ» has adopted ABET’s student outcomes for the BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology Program. The outcomes of the program are for the student to acquire:

  • an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  • an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  • an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
  • an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
  • an ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
